TurnOver Remote™
TurnOver Remote™ fully automates the movement of objects and source between your development iSeries and production iSeries systems. It installs changes in libraries and/or server directories (recompiling objects, if necessary), and communicates status at every step to the source iSeries system without manual intervention. Installation jobs can run unattended, with automatic recovery, should a problem occur.
Since the TurnOver functions outlined below are available on all systems where TurnOver Remote is installed, configuration management possibilities are limitless.
- Manage Database Changes
TurnOver will automatically preserve your data then recopy or run your conversion program, reapply triggers and constraints and of course, rebuild all logical files. Journaling (if it applies) is stopped and restarted automatically.
- On-line Approvals
You can set up a list of individuals or groups that must approve a change before it is installed.
- Set Authorities and Ownership
TurnOver preserves the object authority of the original production object or, in the case of a new object, uses a reference object to set object authority and ownership correctly.
- Internal Audit Database
To help protect your production environment, TurnOver can notify you of any unauthorized changes to objects it manages. It maintains an internal database for every object and source member, and audits any changes to configuration data, ensuring the total integrity of your system.
- On-Line Object History
When you need to know what changed, when it changed, and who changed it, you can view TurnOver's object history database. You can also see everything else that changed at the same time.
If you distribute a high volume of changes to a large number of iSeries servers, check out our Deploy/400 tool.
