SEC Extends Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Dates for Small Cap Companiesby Laurie LeBlanc, Western Territory Manager On March 2, 2005 the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) extended the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance dates for companies with less than $75 million in assets. This extension provides companies that have a non-accelerated filer status and foreign private issues with one more year to comply with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
