Automated paging facility

• AUTOMON^®/iMessage v100 can send messages to all types of pager and can exploit the SMS facility to send and receive messages from cell phones.
• AUTOMON^®/iMessage v100 can forward standard messages received on a message queue, or send messages which are stored in the AUTOMON^®/iMessage v100 message bank. It can also send one-off messages.
• AUTOMON^®/iMessage v100 can receive SMS messages back from a device and use these to control the operation of the System i server by issuing commands or running programs.
• Messages can include message IDs, system name, the user ID of a job, job prefix and full message text. The importance of every message is indicated by a severity code.
• AUTOMON^®/iMessage v100 maintains a history of every message sent to individuals or to groups of users and an audit trail of all message activity, both sent and received.

• AUTOMON^®/iMessage v100 monitors for any software error and alerts staff to it immediately, reducing downtime and improving the service to end users.
• Paging requests can be issued every time a message of a user-defined type and above a user defined severity level is received.
• Messages can be excluded by message ID or by user-defined text strings.

No more unanswered messages

• Message escalation ensures that critical problems receive a fast response. Unanswered paging messages are automatically routed to alternative pagers from a user-defined fallback list, until the message is answered.
• Message escalation addresses the limitations of one-way paging communication by ensuring that outstanding messages requiring a reply are always actioned.
